Denmark, 1992. A Supermarket Manager named Kristian Skannerup had become increasingly frustrated that cardboard and plastic waste was cluttering his workspace. He set about designing a machine that would resolve this issue.
Within 2 years, demand for the solution rocketed as businesses around the world sought to optimize their workspace with a simple, low-energy solution. Large mill-size balers became increasingly unpopular in favour of smaller, quieter machines.
Mil-tek's growth has been as much a product of its responsiveness, with the original offering expanded to a range of 15+ different types of balers, waste compactors, polystyrene compactors, can crushers, hydraulic presses and accessories.
Mil-tek continues to go from strength to strength. Fresh from opening newest location in Nebraska, Mil-tek reaffirmed their commitment to manufacture and supply environmentally friendly recycling balers and waste compactors to an environmentally conscious market.
“When the first Mil-tek machine was developed it was created to meet a specific set of criteria: A low-noise, small-footprint baler which was safe and easy for staff to use.
The concept was, and still is, integral to our business.
It is at our heart to set new standards and continuously invest in development. Protection of the environment in which we live and operate is part of Mil tek’s core values of conscientious business practice.”
